Happy Monday after the holiday weekend. Did you get your turkey fix? I had some turkey, ham and lots of sides. There was also pumpkin pie. I broke my “no holiday music before Thanksgiving rule.” Some rules should be broken (and this rule has been broken before.) as I’ve happily listened to holiday music for the last couple of weeks. Standards, country, pop, I love all of it.
I haven’t been on the blog in a few weeks, but wanted to share with you a handful of November photos. I made it to Chicago Hot Dog Co., and I definitely recommend the Chicago Dog and Maxwell St. Polish Sausage. The place is busy…and I hope to get there more often. A few of my relatives have been there a handful of times and I wouldn’t be surprised to run into them there one of the next times I go get a Chicago dog.
FYI- If you go to Chicago Hot Dog Co...& you're into discount shopping (like me!) - Big Lots is located just across Michigan Rd.
I also made it to Long’s Bakery for a few of their yeast donuts (which totally rock) and a random pick—applesauce cake donut with caramel frosting… I highly recommend this one. I went there on a Sunday, with about 40 people in line in front of me…and chatted with a few people in line (a few first-timers to Long’s Bakery and I kept asking them, "Really? It's your first time here?", they were from out of town) the line does move pretty fast. It’s always worth the wait.
And now- some photos. Happy day back from the holiday. -A.

ok, now i'm hungry after seeing these pics! :)
