Hey there. I titled this "Recipe Favorite" and I guess I mean it's one of my fave recipes and of my family's. Anyway- the weather is getting cold and try as I deny it... a) by wearing sandals when going apple picking and when it's 50 degrees outside..... The upside means that it's soup weather-- or will be more and more. I'm a fan of soup and could eat soup for all three meals. Really. This potato soup ranks oh so high on my all-time favorite soups (along with mushroom soup and New England Clam Chowder). This potato soup - is not only a sentimental fave with me & family (from when I lived in Atlanta- way back when I was a small kid)-- but it's awesome. Trust me. I wouldn't steer ya wrong. I think I've posted this recipe 2 other times on the blog, possibly 3.. but it's that good... ya gotta try it.
Happy Friday to you:) -A.
From the archives-- Potato Soup
When I was growing up in Atlanta, Sidney's Just South restaurant was one of my family's favorite restaurants. Sadly, the restaurant closed many years ago. My parents continue to make many of Sidney's recipes. Recently, my Dad whipped of a batch of Sidney's famous potato soup. It had a been a while since I had it and I can't stop talking about it. The soup is even better the second day.
