Hey. The week is rolling by... I was bummed to hear about Adam Yauch's death (MCA of the Beastie Boys). I remember when the video for "(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)" was first on MTV and it was the thing people talked about at school...forever. My favorite line of the song... "That hypocrite smokes two packs a day."

And....
I finally got around to watching the film, Like Crazy, which was on my watch list forever. I really enjoyed it. It's a sweet film (and sad too) about first love...and of course there are complications...so it's not all perfectly tied up in a bow. The performances are excellent and the actors: Felicity Jones and Anton Yelchin are entirely believable as a couple. They both light up the screen. Available to rent at Amazon. p.s. It won the 2011 Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
"Can't Help Falling in Love" by Ingrid Michaelson is one of the songs in the movie and although I'm a devoted fan of Elvis' version, this one is pretty darn good.
Here I am with the pictures again... of geese (I'm about ready to name these 2 because they are hanging out all the time), vegetable samosas (love them), a visit to the region and many bites of fried perch (insanely good), and back in Louisville at one of my favorite hotel bars (where I ate some lovely French onion soup and had so much fun people watching).
