It's Friday.
So if you ever have that-- "What should I do this weekend?" or "I want to do something different this weekend?" feeling... I've got a few suggestions for you. Most of these include being outdoors-- fishing, golf, etc.
Have some suggestions? Please leave them in the comments. Happy weekend to you:) -A.
1. Spin that record
Tomorrow April 21st is Record Store Day. Music fan? Sure you are! There will be all kinds of deals-- crazy cheap deals on CDs and vinyl albums, also live performances, you name it. Some participating stores include: Luna Music, Indy CD and Vinyl, Karma Records, Vibes Music. Check out more info at Record Store Day.
2. Plant flowers
I'm kinda the opposite of a master gardener-- but I'm trying to gradually change my ways and plant a lot of flowers this year. Some places I plan to stop to pick up some flowers and to get some inspiration include: Allisonville Nursery, Altum's, Habig Garden Shops , & Salisbury Garden Center & Landscaping.
3. Go fishing
I've got my fishing license and if you need one - you can get one online at the Indiana Department of Natural Resources for $17.00/yr (check the web site for discounts and other info, including where to fish). You can also get one in person at Dick's Sporting Goods. I went fishing once this week and plan to try and go as often as I can this spring & summer.
4. Hit the driving range
Playing a round of golf can take a while-- so if you're short on time-- it's easy to go to the driving range and spend 45 minutes practicing your swing and also putting (if there's a putting green). Usually a bucket of balls is around 5-7 bucks, so it's an inexpensive way to spend an hour or so - while enjoying the outdoors. Check out golflink for a list of driving ranges.
