The other night I stopped by Habig Garden Shop to pick up my Christmas tree. Have you been to Habig yet this holiday season? You should go. Really. They have a variety of trees, wreaths and greenery (holly, magnolia leaves) and all sorts of Christmas decor. If you don't feel in the Christmas mood yet-- believe me a visit to Habig's will help make you feel all Christmas-y. By the time I left I was humming Christmas songs to myself.
I always stop in Habig's Garden Cottage first thing (the house which faces 86th St. and across from Nora) You'll find wreaths, bows, jewelry and all sorts of housewares. Right now it's all decked out-- holiday style. I picked up a few gorgeous bows while I was there.
In front of the Garden Cottage and behind it you'll find all sorts of Christmas trees in all shapes and sizes. I was there to pick up a flocked tree that I'd ordered a few days before. I love the look of a flocked tree-- the combo of white with green peeking through. And-- the tree has a bit of sparkle because Habig added some opalescent glitter to the tree. It's gorgeous.
